From the glittering streets of Manhattan to the moonlit rooftops of Paris, falling in love is easy for hopeless dreamer Isla and introspective artist Josh. But as they begin their senior year in France, Isla and Josh are quickly forced to confront the heartbreaking reality that happily-ever-afters aren’t always forever.

Their romantic journey is skillfully intertwined with those of beloved couples Anna and Étienne and Lola and Cricket, whose paths are destined to collide in a sweeping finale certain to please fans old and new.

ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER is a perfect addition to this series. It’s sweet and romantic and angst-filled and heartwarming. Its two main characters – Isla and Josh – are the most adorable couple. You’ll be rooting for them to have their happy ending from the moment of their first connection.

Isla is smart, shy, super nice, more than a little bit insecure, and has had a crush on Josh forever. Josh is insanely creative, at times moody, at others incredibly sweet, and just a little bit self-destructive, but is the perfect complement to Isla.

While I am a new-ish fan of this author and series, I don’t think I could have anticipated this book more. Having read the sneak peek, my expectations were high. And this book delivered everything I wanted it to and then some. It had romance, humor, heartbreak, a fantastic setting, likable and relatable characters, and more than cameo appearances from some already beloved characters from the series. It was a story that got me hooked from its opening lines and kept me riveted to the very end.

Stephanie Perkins has a way of drawing readers into her story, enveloping them into this world she created for her characters. It’s a world you want to be a part of, get totally lost in, and are always sad to see end when the book does.

ISLA AND THE HAPPILY EVER AFTER is a story well worth the wait and is a must not only for fans of this series but for fans of contemporary romance and readers who just want to escape for a few hours in a delightful, enchanting, and incredibly well-written story.
